Critical Skills Education and Training is a partnership dedicated to providing the best in simple, personal and convenient classes in various levels of First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in addition to professional level initial certification and re-certification training in EMS and more.
We meet the needs of workplace responders, professional rescuers and healthcare providers, as well as the general public, school organizations and youth groups in the community.
We offer both certified and non-certified training programs and develop custom tailored instruction for specific groups to ensure each client’s individual success and satisfaction.
Our First Aid, CPR and AED training utilizes the latest and most advanced techniques and equipment to teach lifesaving skills in an easy-to-understand and easy-to-perform manner.
For your convenience, we can come to your location with day or evening classes, including weekends. Or, we can arrange for a local venue if that is preferred.
In addition to teaching and certification, we provide no-cost health and safety-related consulting and speaking programs for group meetings and events. Topics of general interest as well as specifically requested content can be developed for businesses, community and social organizations.
We are experienced, highly educated Emergency Medical Service professionals, with a variety of certifications and are practicing Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Instructors and Educators with more than 35 combined years in the field using these skills on a daily basis.
Both partners are also Instructors in the Connecticut College system, teaching as part of the Nursing and EMT programs at Gateway College. In addition to Connecticut Emergency Medical Services Instructors, we are American Heart Association (AHA) and ASHI Instructors and Evaluators and State Police instructors.
